Why is ICT important in education?
Answer:
Information
and Communication Technology (ICT) is important because it significantly
influences in the development of education in some countries and
has enormouspressureson the education systemgloballybecause of some reasons. Developing the technology provides a
tremendous opportunity to develop management education and learning processes
in schools. Besides that, the specific student learning outcomes can be
identified with the use of new technologies. Another reason is ICT has
tremendous potential to transform the entire aspects of education in the
schools and use it to achieve learning goals.

What is the underlying theory so that teachers and
students can edit and manipulate things according to the needs of the ICT?
Answer:
The underlying theory of computer learning is a social
contsructivis theory where learning occurs not only through the computer
receives the material from the internet alone but it is possible to share ideas
and opinions.

What are the
aspects of ICT?
Answer:
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) includes two
aspects, namely Information and Communications Technology. Information
technology encompasses all matters relating to process, use as aids,
manipulation, and management information. Communication technology covers all
matters relating to the use of assistive devices to process and transfer data
from one device to another.

Ministryof National EducationStrategic Plan2005-2009,the development ofICTin
educationprogramwill be implementedthroughthe followingstages.
Ø The first phase includes (a)
designing a network system that includes the Internet network, linking schools
with data centers and applications, and networks and the Internet as a means of
communication and information media in schools, (b) design and create database
applications, (c) design and create management applications for the management
of education at central, regional, and school, and (d) designing and creating
web-based learning applications, multimedia, and interactive.

second phaseincludes(a) implementthe
systeminschools inIndonesiawhich includesthe procurement offacilities /
infrastructureand ICTtraining ofimplementersandteachersand(b) to designandcreatelearningapplications.

a. Emerging
approaches are characterized by the use of ICT, In this approach, a new school
start buying or refinanceICT infrastructure, whether it be hardware or software.
AbilityICT teachers and school administrative staff are still at the stage of
excursions.
b. Applying
the approach, theeducators and education have been using ICT for tasksrelated
to school management and curriculum based tasks
c. Infusing
approach, In this approach, the school has implemented technologycomputer-based
laboratory, classroom, and administration
d. Transforming
approach, the effort of the school to planand renew the organization with a
more creative way. ICT becomes partactivities integral to personal and
professional day-to-day activities. The focus of the curriculumrefers to a

are the suggestions for the teacher when using computer in teaching?
Answer:
Some
suggestion as consideration for the teacher when using computer in teaching:
a. Identify
the students who have learnt about computer, and who haven’t. Share the
experience to the students.
b. Have
the students to work in pair in order to keep cooperating.
c. The
experienced one should be in pair with the inexperienced one.
d. Consider
the way to get appropriate material for the students.
e. Consider
the way to apply that material for the students in learning computer.

UNESCO related to ICT facilities in education?
Answer:UNESCO (2004)
Suggests several reasons for
developing the use of ICT in the systemeducation, namely:
a. to develop a knowledge - society attributes
for students ,including the development of higher level thinking skills , study
habits throughoutlife , and the ability to think critically , communicate andcollaborate
, access , evaluate and synthesize information
b. todevelop the skills and
competencies of ICT on students , as the stock ofcan be used to exploit ICT in the world and society
c. to overcome the problems in education,
among others including the use of ICTto improve the efficiency of the
administrative and teaching activities, addressinglimited source material in a
specific field (eg shortage of textbooks orlearning resources), addressing the
issue of equity through the expansion of access toknowledge, resources and expertise,
or even help teachers who maypoorly equipped with sufficient learning
resources.
10. Why should the headmaster,
teachers, and administrative staff and parents of students know the utilization of ICT?
Answer:
Utilization of ICT in education refers
to the existence of the Internet in the educational unit allows the interaction
without limit of time and space that involves students and teachers from
various places in the world. Interaction could involve all the good on several
levels of the school environment itself, until the inter-school level regional,
national, and, international. For example, a teacher can
interact and collaborate with teachers from other schools to design programs
